I have lived here since June and have been very happy with the move, the concept of assisted living is marvelous. I like that I have the option for more care when I need it as well as being able to utilize homecare through the VA., The friendliness of all the staff and management team really make it feel like home.

We came from a small community and felt that we knew most of the people in the community. As a result, we immediately felt that we had a small community and neighborhood here at Edencrest as soon as we moved here. We had heard that Edencrest had a high rating and found it to be true as we live here. There are so many things that we appreciate living here, but we’ll mention a few. We found all the resident assistants to be very kind and helpful. There are many activities for us to do, and we can choose those enjoy participating in. They also have a variety of musical entertainment that come in throughout each month. As we gather for our meals, we feel like we are at a large family gathering.

I love that there are always plenty of things to do. I really enjoy playing bingo and going to exercise class. The food is always good! The housekeepers do a great job cleaning my apartment each week and if I need it more. I enjoy all the things that are offered and always going on for us.

The Edencrest facility in Johnston is the kind of place you want your loved ones to be at should they need this type of care. The staff is extremely professional and caring, and treat all of their residents with the respect and dignity they deserve. They go out of their way to care for their residents. They have taken great care of my folks- including hospice care for my stepdad when his health began to fail. They have cared for my Mom in the memory care unit, and continue to help her live a joyful life. I highly recommend this facility!

Since I’ve been here and it’s been just over a year. I forgot how much I love connecting and talking with folks my age. There’s nice people in this community, some whom I consider a friend. They showed me how much I missed making others smile… I really do enjoy it here at The Legacy.
